At nearly 3.5 years old Katelyn finally experienced her first Halloween and it was priceless. The energy and excitement it brought to her was incredible. The look on her face as she collected candy house after house and couldn't wait to get to the next spot. This was her first time so we had no clue how she would react. She loved every minute of it. We had gone to Sacramento and went out with a few of Noels friends from elementary school and their kids. It was a lot of fun and next year we will get to experience it all over again this time through Claire's eyes.

Where has the time gone?!
Life as a working mom is tough to say the least. How did my mom make it look so easy. And how have 8 months past by since I last blogged? I definitely need to blog a little more frequently.
Well Katelyn turned 3 in July and is still keeping us all on our toes. Claire turns 1 in 3.5 weeks... where has the time gone?
Katelyn is adjusting well to having a little sister although the jealousy is beginning to set in now that Claire is mobile. Katelyn has mastered her ABC's, counting, and can tell you what letters everyone's names begin with. She is very anxious to begin preschool in Fall of 2011. She is loving our new church and fits in perfect! A few months back she said she wanted to go to church and pray... when I told her she could pray anywhere not only at church her response was..."when I go to church I say "thank you Jesus, AMEN!" and I get cookies" we all couldn't help but laugh. Katelyn is enjoying riding her bike and likes to read books and play with her puzzles. And whenever she can talk us into it she loves to be outside running around.
Claire loves attention! God forbid you pass and not pick her up or talk to her she will tell you how it is. She is a late bloomer. She began crawling and cut all 4 teeth at 10 months. She is much more content at mealtime now that she can feed herself. And she is definitely a mama's girl! Which I LOVE! These past few months have been rough for her. She has had to be put on antibiotics 3 times since June and has even had pneumonia. Hoping for a calmer winter. We are excited to be celebrating her birthday with close family as she turns 1 and can't wait to see what she will do with the cake.
Noel is busy working and adjusting to raising our 2 daughters. Going from 1 to 2 has definitely been an adjustment for us both. Noel is actively searching for new employment although we thank God that he has a job. He is loving life right now, with it being football season again. I can't wait for it to be over so I can have my husband back! =)
I am busy juggling work, family life, and keeping up on the day to day routines. I will try to update you guys monthly to keep better track of things. Please keep my mom in your prayers. She has another surgery in December then will begin chemo in January.
Love you all <3

My life as Mommy
Well life these past few months has been pretty hectic. Mommy of a 2 year old and infant is quite exhausting. Although I love it.
Katelyn is very busy doing what 2 year olds do best... driving everyone crazy :) She is very energetic yet managed to learn to recognize her ABC's and their appropriate sounds and she can count to 10 too! Who knows what they will do with her once she finally gets enrolled in preschool which won't happen for another year.
Claire does what every new infant does: eats, poops, sleeps and all over again. Its a never ending cycle. Katelyn loves being a big sister to Claire and that makes me so happy. Claire is my cuddle-bug which is oppisite of what Katelyn was and I love it :)
I go back to work next week so I will go from being a FT mommy to a full time mommy that also works full time... man my plate is gonna be full. But I wouldn't trade these girls for the world.
As I prepare for my return to the workforce I get nervous about what our future holds: daycare, work, doctor appointments, church, family activities, etc.... I just hope I can juggle it all.
